In addition to our personal experience of it, the sound environment is studied and explored by professionals in a wide range of disciplines including artists, audiologists, architects, bioacousticians, designers, engineers, geographers, historians, linguists, musicians, psychologists and is of interest to many other related fields. In what way are these disciplines informed by each other? Acoustic Ecology provides a multi-disciplinary framework for cross pollination of ideas and understandings.
Join us in Melbourne for a unique event which brings together the full range of issues and disciplines within the field of acoustic ecology: the relationship between living organisms and the sonic environment.
